Experience and skills at your service
A few words about my academic journey and clinical career as a health professional.
I have been a spiritual care practitioner in the Quebec health and social services network since 2011. I work with patients who are experiencing moral and spiritual suffering related to their medical condition. Among other things, I work with people hospitalized in oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, palliative care and neurology. I am also a lecturer and clinical associate professor at the University of Sherbrooke medical faculty where I teach medical leadership to medical students as well as mindfulness meditation to practicing physicians and healthcare professionals as a qualified MBSR teacher.
I completed a Ph.D at the University of Sherbrooke in 2022. My work focused on the link between spirituality and health in cardiology. It is within the framework of this doctoral thesis that I developed the INSPIRE© spiritual intervention model which frames my support approach in a clinical context. This model is now taught in various university training programs at the University of Sherbrooke. I am also the recipient of the Prize of Excellence in Continuing Professional Development (2021) from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Sherbrooke for my leadership in connection with continuing education on mindfulness meditation which has been followed by more than 700 doctors and health professionals since its implementation in 2016.
